Your concern about attack buffs is definitely warranted and I have a methodology outlined to find the difference those buffs make between either boot configuration, I'm working on that right now. Also while you lose your buffs faster you also reduce your cd faster, when you fight pve content like bosses, you usually don't put your nuker as your fatest unit, usually that will be your support/healer or whatever so he is not the only one fast so the 'you lose the buff' effect is reduced. Spd is usually always better than atk, in pvp it gives you priority in fight, which most of the time is always good, the worst thing that can happen is some enemy interfering between your initiator (with def break, atk up, spd up, whatever) and your nuker and stunning, atk breaking them, increasing the attack bar of their team, etc. Epic 7 crit dmg vs speed test. Attack should still be better in PvP versus squishy teams that you want to kill in 1 shot, but will lose to speed versus full tank/healer comps (which are rapidly becoming more and more common in this server in my experience).
A warlock can choose to use an invocation defensively, by making a successful Concentration check, to avoid provoking attacks of opportunity. A warlock's invocations are subject to spell resistance unless an invocation's description specifically states otherwise. A warlock's caster level with his invocations is equal to his warlock level. My main Warlock was a Drow pure 20 and my 2nd was a Bladeforged warlock 18/paladin 2(also warlock 17/paladin 3) so I've toyed quite a bit with different build types. I will say that the strongest warlock is a pure warlock and whatever levels you give up to get something else probably won't be enough to make up for what you lost.

Wisdom (WIS)
Wisdom describes a Player Character’s willpower, common sense, perception, and intuition. While Intelligence represents one’s ability to analyze information, Wisdom represents being in tune with and aware of one’s surroundings.
Wisdom is the most important ability for Clerics, and it is also important for Favored Souls, Paladins, Rangers, Druids and Monks. If you want your character to have acute senses, put a high score in Wisdom. Every creature has a Wisdom score.
You apply your Player Character’s Wisdom modifier to:
- Will saving throws (for negating the effect of charm person and other spells).
- Heal, Listen, and Spotchecks. These are the skills that have Wisdom as their key ability.
- Using Wisdom-based stat runes.
- The Vault of Night Requires Wisdom 20 for two runes
- The Tear of Dhakaan Requires Wisdom 20
- The Xorian Cipher Requires Wisdom 20-22
- Armor Class bonus for Monks.
- Several Monk ki attacks, such as Stunning Fist and the granted attacks from Shintao Monk enhancements use Wisdom to determine DCs.
- Spell Difficulty Class (DC) for Cleric, Druid, and Favored Soul all use Wisdom modifier.
Clerics, Paladins, Druid and Rangers get bonus spell points based on their Wisdom scores. The minimum Wisdom score needed to cast a Cleric, Paladin, or Ranger spell is 10 + the spell’s level.
Wisdom may be used to hit with Shortbows and Longbows if using the Zen Archery feat.To use Wisdom as attack and/or damage modifier in melee, use Flame Blade or some of the named items, for example Scepter of Healing.
Feat Prerequisites[edit]
The following Feats have a minimum Wisdom Requirement:
- Zen Archery Requires Wisdom 13
- Vorpal Strikes Epic Feat Requires Wisdom 23

Raising Wisdom Scores[edit]
You can raise your Wisdom score from different sources, among them:
Base[edit]
- During character creation, you can add up to 10 points to your basic Wisdom score, which means:
- A Deep Gnome character can start with a Wisdom of up to 20
- A Bladeforged or Warforged character can have a Wisdom of up to 16.
- All other races can start with a Wisdom of up to 18
- At the 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 20th, 24th, and 28th, you are allowed to raise a single ability by 1 point.
- The Stat point raises are often referred to as 'level-ups'. These increases count towards Feat Pre-requisites.
Inherent bonus[edit]
Inherent bonuses stack with all other bonuses and also count towards Feat Pre-requisites.

- Completionist feat - Bonus of +2 to all abilities available at level 3 to Completionists.
- Great Ability - Epic feat available at level 21,24,27, or 30. Bonus of +1 to Wisdom. May be selected multiple times.
- Racial Past Life Feats - The second Past Life Feat for Human and Aasimar is +1 Wisdom. These are auto-granted at level 1, but do not count for feat pre-requisites. For more information see: Racial Reincarnation.

- Monk Water Stance provides a +2/+3/+4 Bonus to Wisdom when centered and in Water Stance.
- Inspire Excellence Epic Feat provides Bard Song that gives +2 Competence Bonus to All Statistics. Does not stack with other Competence bonus.
- Aureon's Instruction Level 6 Deity feat for Follower of Aureon provides +4 Wisdom for limited duration (24 seconds + 6 seconds per Religious Lore feat).
- Ever Watchful Level 6 Deity feat for Follower of Helm provides +4 Wisdom for limited duration (24 seconds + 6 seconds per Religious Lore feat).
- Luck of Olladra Level 6 Deity feat for Follower of Olladra provides +1d6 Wisdom for limited duration (24 seconds + 6 seconds per Religious Lore feat).

Intelligence (INT)
Intelligence determines how well your Player Character learns and reasons. This ability is important for wizards or artificers as it affects how many spell points they have, how hard their spells are to resist, and how powerful their spells can be. It's also important for any character who wants to have a wide assortment of skills.
You apply your Player Character’s Intelligence modifier to:
- Disable Device, Repair, Search, and Spellcraft skill checks. These are the skills that have Intelligence as their key ability.
- The amount of bonus spell points you gain as a wizard or artificer.
- The number of skill points gained each level.
- The Spell Difficulty Class (DC) for Wizard, and Artificer spells.
- Insightful Reflexes Feat allows Intelligence to be used for all Reflex Save rolls, instead of Dexterity
- Harper Know the Angles will add 1/2 your intelligence modifier to your damage rolls and the Difficulty Class(DC) of your Tactical feats.
- Mechanic Tanglefoot, Thunderstone, Ooze Flask, and Time Bomb use Int Modifier for the Difficulty Class(DC).
- Assassin Poison Strikes, Shadow Dagger and Assassinate use Int Modifier for the Difficulty Class(DC).
- Arcanotechnician Arcane Empowerment uses Int Modifier for the Difficulty Class(DC).
You can also apply your Intelligence Modifier to your Melee and/or Ranged Attack rolls and/or Damage rolls through the use of:
- Harper Strategic Combat I (Attack Rolls only)
- Harper Strategic Combat II (Damage Rolls only)
- Swashbuckler Tier 3 enhancement Different Tack (Damage Rolls Only)
- Mechanic Core 3 enhancement Targeting Sights (Damage Rolls Only. Only Crossbows and Thrown Weapons)
